My monitor is HDMI. I am running the xbox off of HDMI, but the audio still comes from the monitor and I want it from the surround sound. I have the hdmi audio adapter for the xbox, but I still don’t know how to set it up so i can get the audio from the xbox and from my computer? Can they both be run at the same time? I need major help please!

My husband hooked up our logitech sound sytem to the xbox and my laptop.
its a little black splitter he got from walmart.
it rules.
sorry cant help you
you need to buy Audio receiver that has multiple digital inputs
you’ll need to get an audio/visual switch box which has one output (av)for the speakers
and it needs two or more inputs (av)for the sources(Xbox/PC)
you will need to use the av output on your xbox and PC to connect to the switch box( this will by pass the TV speakers connection, but you will need to turn the TV volume to Zero)
I have this exact setup(same speakers) and it works fine, but you can’t run both sound sources at the same time, but you can switch between them.
I hope that helps
