You have to have your system modified. Basically, someone reflashes the firmware on the 360’s DVD drive so that it gets rid of the protection that normally does not allow the system to boot backup copies of games. You can probably find someone in your area on Craigslist.com to do it for you, I paid about $40 to get it done to mine.

Afterwards, you just download the game’s ISO file, burn it to a DVD+R DL disc, and it works just like the original disc

Also, by far the easiest and fastest way to download games is to get a $10/mo Megashares account and download the games from forum links. The games are all around 7gb each, so torrents can be a pain, especially if its an older game with few seeders on it.

-Just a note: to the guy that said you can play them off of the hard drive, you can only do that with the original Xbox, not the 360.
